Product Description
ECTFE films are produced from ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene (ECTFE) resin through melt extrusion, resulting in smooth-surfaced, high-performance films. Their tear resistance and moisture barrier properties make them particularly suitable for photovoltaic module encapsulation and construction applications.
Available in thicknesses from 12.5 μm to 500 μm and widths up to 1600 mm, ECTFE films combine chemical inertness, electrical insulation, thermal stability, and weather resistance for long-term use in harsh environments.
Key Features:
Chemical Resistance: Resistant to strong acids and bases (e.g., H₂SO₄, HNO₃); not resistant to molten alkali metals, fluorine gas, or certain halogen compounds under high pressure and temperature.
Thermal Performance: Service range -200℃ to +150℃; melting point 240℃.
Flame Retardancy: UL94-V0 rating; Oxygen Index 52%; self-ignition temperature >650℃.
Electrical Reliability: Dielectric strength up to 30 kV/mm (1 mm sheet).
Mechanical Properties: Excellent non-stick surface, low friction, tear resistance, and mechanical stability at cryogenic temperatures.
Weather Resistance: Long-term UV durability with high visible light transmittance.
